About  Wallace  from  Legend  Pest  Control

I have been in the pest control business since 2017. I worked for the top company here in Lubbock and at that time, the best. That company sold out and I stayed another 2 years hoping it would stay the same, but sadly it did not stay the same. During that time I strived to learn from the best, and that knowledge and know how is what created all the 5 star reviews that can still be seen on their Google reviews with my name. I then went to work for another large company and ended up with a broken wrist, 3 surgeries and a wrist replacement that sidelined me for awhile. That company also sold out.

Why was I working for someone else? I have all these licenses and knowledge. Let's bring back what pest control should be.

There are very few pest companies in Lubbock that actually care for their customers. The ones that do are local, and know the bugs and critters in West Texas. I am one of those local small companies. It's just me right now, I am extremely thorough and good at what I do. I think outside the box, and am always learning. The products I use are of extreme quality and are always in rotation that way insects don't become resistant.

I am a Licensed Applicator in General Pest, Wood Destroying Insects (I am not doing termites at this time), and Lawn and Ornamental. I am also Manager Serve Safe Certified in Food, which brings another knowledge of being safe around commercial kitchens.

The definitions of those according to the Texas Department of Agriculture is as follows:

Structural License (General Pest)

The inspection or control of pests in and around structures or pest animals which may invade homes,

restaurants, stores, and other buildings, attacking their contents or furnishings or being a general nuisance, but do not

normally attack the building itself. Examples of such pests are cockroaches, silverfish, ants, fleas, ticks, flies,

mosquitoes, rats, mice, raccoons, opossums, etc.

Termite and Wood Destroying Insect Control

Again, I am not treating termites at this time, but plan to do so in the future.

The inspection or control of termites, beetles, or other wood destroying insects and wood preservation by means other than fumigation in buildings, including homes, warehouses, stores, docks, or any other structures. This category includes the treatment of termites in trees in and around structures.

Lawn and Ornamental

The inspection or control of pests or diseases of trees, shrubs, or other plantings in a park or in

and around structures, business establishments, industrial parks, institutional buildings or streets.

Harvester Ants

There are 22 different species in the United States and 12 of those are here in Texas. They cause bald spots in lawns and fields. The bite is painful, the sting even more so, especially for those with allergies. These ants are a major food source for the threatened Texas Horned Lizard. So treatment of them should be limited.

Texas Redhead Centipede

You do not want to get bitten by this centipede. It probably won't kill you, but the pain may make you wish you were dead. These are usually found in canyon areas but can also be seen in the same places as scorpions.

Fire Blight

Fire blight on Bradford Pear leaves. This is early enough it may be able to be controlled. Pear, apple, and other fruit trees can be attacked by this bacteria. If one waits too long it can be detrimental to the tree or trees.
